Teams and Walkers
Select A Team:
After careful consideration, we have made the tough decision to postpone the AIDS Walk Open, the mini-golf pub crawl event scheduled for March 5, 2022. We hope to hold the AIDS Walk open later in the spring and are still planning for an in-person AIDS Walk on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Our decision is two-fold:
To reevaluate our organizational practices,
And to ensure the health of our community during the ongoing pandemic.
The AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City strives to promote equity and to champion the great diversity of our community.
In the return to in-person events, we failed to ensure these ideals were embedded into all our processes. We stand in solidarity with Black, Brown, and Transgender communities, and our community partners must align with our ideals of inclusion and respect for all persons.
We commit to a better future by:
· establishing principles and policies that center our work in social justice
· listening and learning from our diversity community
· hosting events that embrace inclusion
Bringing Kansas City together in the fight against HIV/AIDS has always been our focus. We need your voices and welcome your ideas and feedback as we continue to grow and learn.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support.
