VIRTUAL AIDSWalk Kansas City 2020: Walking for the Wolves
CoViD19 has taken so much from everyone on the planet. But what it gives us is an opportunity to be home, clear our heads of the usual chaos, and contemplate what it means to care for our fellow humans. Yup, that's me above in 1968, singin' the groovy protest songs, feelin' the passion for social justice. At that guitar-strummin' moment I had NO idea it would be possible to convert a "march" into an "online experience." I have led the effort since 2005 to raise money for AIDSWalk Kansas City in the name of Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City. I retired last year, so this is my first AIDSWalk from afar, and my first-ever VIRTUAL AIDSWalk. I am still so proud of the MCC Wolves and their ability to come together to take a stand. I hope our Team will grow and bring in bundles of cash for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS here in Kansas City!
