Welcome to my AIDS Walk Kansas City donation page!
Normally this time of year I'd be ramping up my cycling to train for the AIDS LifeCycle; however, this year I didn't have the bandwidth to train and fundraise for such a big event. Instead I'm acting locally this year to help end the HIV/AIDS epidemic and support the AIDS Service Foundation of Kansas City. My legs are also grateful I'll be walking a few miles vs biking 545 miles.
ASF provides vital resources and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS, and their efforts are remarkable. Nationally, only 35% of people living with HIV have a suppressed viral load. In comparison, thanks to the work of ASF and others, Kansas City's rate is 74%!
Contributions equally benefit four organizations; KC Care Health Center, SAVE Inc., Thrive Health Connection, and Hope Care Center. These are resources I regularly refer patients to who otherwise have challenges accessing the care they need.
Every dollar raised will collectively make a huge impact. Can you help me reach my goal of $5,000 by April 24?
