My AIDS Walk Kansas City 2021 Fundraising Page

Kalvin Pugh

June marks 40 years since the first cases were reported that would begin the AIDS crisis. In 40 years science has made incredible advancements including effective treatment making it impossible for those living with HIV to transmit HIV to their partners (U=U) We still have a long way to go to end the HIV epidemic globally and it is essential that quality, affordable healthcare and support services be available to those living with and at risk for HIV and AIDS. The money raised by this campaign will go directly to organizations providing those services with dignity, cultural humility, without discrimination and stigma.
Thank you for helping me create a better world for future generations and in honor and memory for those who we have lost.

Kalvin, I’ve been HIV positive now for 34 years. I’ve had the financial means to get the care that I need snd to live a fairly stress free life. There was a time long ago when i did not have the means and so I know how much more difficult survival and healing becomes. You’re such a shining example of one who had to rebuild your life, the hero’s journey as those who study heroic figures would call it. Indeed you are a hero, in my eyes, for all the great work you’ve done and continue to do. Thank you. Best Wishes Always! Jim...
